CALL FOR MINIATURE BOOKS - December 30, 2008

Curated Exhibition for the Southern Graphics Council 2009 Annual Conference, Columbia College, Chicago, "Global Implications". This curated exhibition will investigate the power of small-scale artists’ books to challenge their readers with grand, powerful, urgent, and poignant content. We sent out invitations to the national and international art community, asking artists to create miniature books for the SGC Conference. We reached out to graphic designers, sculptors, writers, artists, printmakers, kids and the community to present their ideas in miniature book formats. This is an intimate, economical, democratic and global exchange project. Because the project is lightweight and easy to install we are in the process of organizing an exhibition to travel to Spain, China, Argentina, and Finland after the SGC Conference 2009. We are asking artists to produce 6+ editions, which will allow us conducting the traveling exhibition simultaneously. Entry fee.
