Every Fourth Woman, a domestic violence survivors union, is organizing an exhibit for the California Museum (Sacramento) to open Oct 30, 2012. We are looking for art works that will function as a "didactic bullhorn", alerting the public and policy makers to the largely unknown and unaddressed reality that leaving domestic violence does not end abuse, it just changes shape and venue into stalking, legal nightmares, community shunning, debilitating health issues/PTSD, etc. Open to all Californians, 18 or older, who self-identify as a domestic violence survivor.
