The Civic Art Program seeks to commission an artist or artist team to create a landmark artwork for the new 142,000 square foot High Desert Health System Multi-Service Ambulatory Care Center (HDHS MACC) in the City of Lancaster in the Antelope Valley region of Los Angeles County. Artwork opportunities include 1) an expansive hanging sculpture, or series of hanging sculptures, in the large central atrium space which has a 35 foot ceiling, and 2) a relief or three-dimensional artwork attached to the approximately 300 square foot wall at the west end of the atrium.

PHILADELPHIA TEXTILE PROJECT RESIDENCY - May 18, 2012
6 artists/designers/makers are invited to participate in a summer artist residency to explore the potential of Philadelphia's textile industry. Applicants must have an interest in exploring history and processes and demonstrate this through their work. Selected artists will work with a curatorial committee and textile-related manufacturers to develop a public art proposal, which may receive further funding. Artists will receive a residency fee of $3,000 and up to $800 to pilot their project.

Artists residing in the United States, 18 years or older, may apply to the ACGA National. Artwork must be composed of at least 75% clay, glass, or a combination of the two.
