911 ANNIVERSARY MAIL ART SHOW - September 5, 2011
As part of Albertus Magnus College’s commemoration of the 10th anniversary of 9/11, the College invites artists to submit postcard size artworks that explore the impact of the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights on the lives of people living in the United States post 9/11. Postcards can engage topics such as: freedom of speech, freedom of religion, separation of church and state, the right to privacy, civic liberty and national security, and the right to bear arms. All entries must be of original design and personal execution. All media, all visual disciplines are welcome. No piece may be larger than 10 inches x 10 inches x 10 inches, including frame or case. This year's jurors are Bonnie Laing-Malcolmson, Arlene and Harold Schnitzer Curator of Northwest Art at the Portland Art Museum; Rene Barilleaux, Chief Curator at McNay Art Museum, San Antonio; Stephen Lyons, Director of Platform Gallery. Cash prizes. Each accepted entry will be featured in a fully illustrated, color catalogue of the exhibit. Each accepted artist will receive one copy of the catalogue. CALL FOR ENTRIES: SOLOS 2012 - July 1, 2011
Each year, AAC selects 10 to 14 artists from across the Mid-Atlantic region for solo exhibitions in AAC’s seven separate gallery spaces--or outside on the grounds. Proposals that specifically consider AAC’s space, layout, and surrounding environs are encouraged. Any existing works must have been completed within the last 3 years in order to be considered. Guest jurors: Klaus Ottman, Curator at Large and Director of the Center for the Study of Modern Art for the Phillips Collection; Karen Milbourne, curator for the Smithsonian African Art Museum; and JJ McCracken, DC based installation artist and art professor.

Eligible entries must have sports as a subject. There are three categories: painting/2D, sculpture and photography. Except for entries in photography (which may be digital photography and manipulated) work must be produced by the "hand of the artist" - no digital or computer art. INTERNATIONAL CALL FOR MASKS - July 25, 2011
Open to all artists. Works for consideration may be of any media and style, including painting, drawing, mixed media, print, photography, video, sculpture, etc. All works must be original and must be no wider than 48", including frame, or of a depth of 24". All work must be for sale and available for the duration of the exhibition. Gallery commission on sales is 50%. An artist statement and resume will be required for all accepted artists. Artist is responsible for transportation of work to and from gallery. Projects Gallery will not be responsible for loss or damage of any work while on the premises or during transit to or from the gallery.
