Eligible entries must have sports as a subject. There are three categories: painting/2D, sculpture and photography. Except for entries in photography (which may be digital photography and manipulated) work must be produced by the "hand of the artist" - no digital or computer art. Up to 50 works selected by a jury will be exhibited at the Museum on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). The exhibit opens Oct 28, 2011, and close Feb 28, 2012. Medals awarded to the top three winners in each category. Three $2,500 prizes will be awarded: The Germain G. Glidden Best in Show Award, and NCAA Honoring College Athletics and Academic Excellence awards in painting and in sculpture. Entry fee.
