On Saturday May 4th and Sunday May 5th, the SLAM Local Artist Market in Davis Square will be participating in the Somerville Open Studios. We're on the map (#15) and are expecting a good deal of foot traffic for this well publicized event.

Artists and Fashion Designers using recycled, repurposed, reused, & reconstituted, materials are sought for a SUSTAINABILTY Fashion/POP-UP ART Show & Expo sponsored by the BHCC Office of Sustainability Management and the Sustainability Club. The organizers are looking for Sustainable Fashions to grace their runway, Green Vendors to set-up tables, and Artists to contribute visual art for a two day pop-up show & expo. THE EAGLE: EMBLEM OF AMERICA PACA ART EXHIBIT - April 30, 2013

The eagle was use a for the first time during the War of 1812 in the states. PACA is proud to announce a call for artwork that exemplify the symbol of the eagle. The subject matter must contain an eagle either literally or subjectively. PACA hopes that this exhibit will show the diversity of how the eagle is portrayed in American culture and how symbols become part of our conscience. Entry fee.

LACDA 2013 INTERNATIONAL JURIED COMPETITION - April 22, 2013

Curator: Holly Harrison, L.A. County Museum of Art. Entrants submit three JPEG files of original work. All styles of artwork and photography where digital processes of any kind were integral to the creation of the images are acceptable. The selected winner receives 10 prints up to 44x60 inches on museum quality paper (approximately a $2,500-$3,000 value) to be shown in a solo exhibition in main gallery.
