Mail art is art which uses the postal system as a medium. Mail artists typically exchange artistic works in any medium, including but not limited to: painting, drawing, collage, graphic design, sculpture, assemblage, video- or audio-based works, conceptual works, and installations. (SCENE) presents an in-depth investigation into this artform, which evolved between the 1950s and the 1990s, and was influenced by such art movements as Dada and Fluxus. The size and scope of each artwork depends on the artist. No entry fee.
