CLASSICAL STUDIES JOB OPENING - October 13, 2008
The American Academy in Rome intends to appoint a distinguished scholar to serve as Andrew W. Mellon Professor-in-Charge of the School of Classical Studies for an initial term of two or three years beginning in the summer of 2009. Candidates should have extensive experience in one or more fields of western humanistic learning represented in the fellowship fields. In addition, s/he must have the ability and experience to help advance the work of the Rome Prize Fellows, as well as manage and oversee or coordinate programs relating to publications, archaeology and the other humanities fields represented at the Academy. Salary and benefits are negotiable and will be competitive.
