CALL FOR OUTDOOR SCULPTURE PROPOSALS - October 1, 2008
This commission will be the largest in the history of the Arts Commission. The artwork can feature sculpture, light, landscaping elements, unique or alternative art media, or any combination that is appropriate for the site and the concept. It should have an enduring quality; enhance our city’s environment; give a positive message; reflect the future or be forward-looking in style, appearance, décor, or concept; reflect pride in our community; and add memory and/or identity. The work will be sited on the grounds of the OKC City Hall, an art deco building built by WPA during the 1930’s, located at 200 North Walker Avenue, and will be a permanent installation. Entry fee.
