The City of Goodyear seeks to hire an artist or artist team to create a public artwork for the newly constructed Fire Station 185 at Pebble Creek. This station serves a diverse population which includes an active adult community. This area of Goodyear is developing rapidly and will include a new City Center complex, a spring training facility and ballpark for the Cleveland Indians and the Cincinnati Reds due to open in February, and a major regional shopping center also scheduled to open in 2009. Artwork should reflect the mission and activities of Goodyear Fire as well as the history and symbolism of the profession. Budget: $45,000 all inclusive.
