HEALTHY CHILDREN ART CONTEST - November 21, 2008
We are looking for pieces of art from children, grades K-12, which focus on why having health care is important. The purpose of the art contest is to convey positive messages concerning the importance of keeping children healthy for a stronger country. All artwork must be original and pertain to the theme "America's Future Starts with Healthy Children because..." The artwork must be the contestant's original hand-drawn creation. Children with special needs may have assistance from teachers, parents or guardians to help with their entry. Winning artists’ entries, and some of the other entries, will have their artwork exhibited at Union Station and the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C. Winning artists and a parent or guardian will be invited to attend the unveiling at Union Station in Washington, D.C. in January of 2009.
