SYRACUSE NY SEEKS PUBLIC ART COORDINATOR - October 17, 2008
This position will report to the Director of Economic Development and perform duties related to two City Boards (the Syracuse Public Art Commission and the Landmark Preservation Board). Specifically, this position will promote and facilitate public art city-wide and assist artists and organizations in preparing applications for approval by the Public Art Commission. Additionally, the position will take applications, prepare agendas, minutes and resolutions for the Landmark Preservation Board. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree with a concentration of course work (at least 18 semester credit hours) in art history, visual arts, public art administration, urban design/planning, historic preservation, architecture, landscape architecture, or related field or 4 years of work experience in one of the aforementioned areas. City residency is required.
