Two artists will be commissioned to develop, in collaboration with museum staff and students from the Museum’s Shared Journeys ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) program, site-specific art installations. The installations should shed light on the connections between immigrant experiences past and present, illuminating the parallels the Shared Journeys students see between the lives of the residents of 97 Orchard Street at their own experiences as new immigrants.
