Artists must demonstrate the professional capacity to oversee the design, fabrication, and installation of artwork for public places. Artists must also demonstrate the ability to work in consultation with project teams, including architects, engineers, fabricators, general contractors, and consultants. Artists must be available for meetings with the design team and/or principals of the project, and City advisory committees. Artists may apply individually or as a team. Artist teams may not change over the life of the project. Up to 15 artists/artist teams will be selected for the pre-qualified roster. The average restroom vestibule size is approximately 45 square feet. Individual design budgets may range from $13,500 to $27,000, depending on the number of restrooms for which the selected artist is commissioned. Project budgets are all-inclusive and are intended to cover all costs for design, fabrication, and installation. Entry fee.
