A juried exhibition featuring artists from the 5 southern states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. Open to all visual artists over 18 years of age currently residing in those states. Entries can include all types of media including photography, video/DVD and multimedia installations. Works that are original, completed within the past two years and not previously exhibited at the AcA will qualify for submission. No students please. Cash awards of $1,000 for 1st place, $750 for 2nd place and $500 for 3rd place. 1st place winner will also receive a solo exhibition as part of the AcA's Small Gallery Series during May 2010. Purchase awards ranging from $500 to $2500. Entry fee.
