Artists from the tri-state area are invited to submit work for the KMA’s prestigious juried exhibition, held every three years. This next exhibition, titled Contemporary Confrontations, will be juried by Nan Rosenthal, who served as Senior Consultant for Modern and Contemporary Art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art for 15 years. Entrants may submit up to two artworks—paintings, drawings, prints, mixed media, sculpture, photography, or video—which have been executed since 2004. The exhibition opens January 25 and runs through February 22, 2009. Works in all media are eligible for awards: First Prize $1000, Second Prize $750, and Third Prize $500. Entry fee.
