Up to 20 grants of $12,000 each will be given to artists 55 years of age and older who want to use their special artistic talents to give back to their community. Selected artists will receive $1,000 per month, along with reimbursements for materials directly related to the program, for this year-long project. Artists work closely with nonprofit organizations they choose, based upon their own personal interests. As artists-in-residence, they provide weekly creative educational, mentoring and therapeutic experiences. No application fee.
