The term “figurative work” encompasses a broad range of genre and technique. Our tendency to identify with representations of the human form gives these works an ability to connect with us on many levels. For this exhibition, I want to assemble a collection of artwork that demonstrates the power the figure has to relate and communicate with the viewer. I look forward to selecting from a variety of works that utilized the figure to express everything from an evocative political statement to other, more personal, depictions of beauty in this form that we all share.
