"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." - is a juried exhibition to be held June 10 - July 3, 2009 at Phyllis Stein Art in downtown Los Angeles, CA. Price Latimer Agah, Annie Wharton and Phyllis Stein will jury the competition. Established and emerging artists are invited to submit up to three artworks related to the exhibition title, which is inspired by the optimism and transition, as well as the contradictions and vicissitude, of our current socio-political times. The artwork submitted should address and/or express the artist's interpretation of this topic. Grand Prize - $1,000, First Place - $250, Second Place - $150, Two Honorable Mentions. Entry fee.
