Seeking submissions for works of art that will enhance the newly renovated and newly constructed facilities that make up the new college. Artistic works should reflect the mission of the college and the historical and cultural significance of the region. The college is interested in large-scale interior works of art to be installed in designated well-traveled locations to visually enhance the environment of the college. Works should demonstrate skillful use of the art mediums the students at the college use such as drawing, painting, collage, ceramics, sculpture, graphic design and digital photography. The work should be educational with an emphasis on the learning environment present at the college. It is recommended that the artwork show an interaction of the sciences and humanities. The works sought should have a timeless quality and should engage the students, staff, and community. The works must be durable and safe, requiring minimal maintenance. Work should be ready to install and artists will be expected to assist in the installation. Preference will be given to local Connecticut artists. Entry fee.
