The Quilt/Surface Design Symposium (QSDS) has been crucial to the non traditional quilt movement since its founding 20 years ago. It brings artists together in a sharing environment allowing them to work intensely, share ideas, gain new perspectives and explore their own potential in the art quilt medium. Another feature of the symposium is the Vendor Mall where participants and the public are invited to browse and purchase a variety of unique, vintage and exotic fabrics, hand crafted embellishments, fusible fibers, stamps, paints and more, not often found locally.
