This is an exhibit exploring the possibilities of new landscape art. Organized by Karl Gustafson, the exhibit dates are: 24 October - 22 November 2009. Deep earth processes move at their own pace. Surface features change faster. Natural forces and human activity intersect with creative and destructive effects on the landscape and on the soul. What do you see? What does it feel like? The spiritually sublime or the terminally terrible? Is a new landscape art emerging that engages the morphing landscape, our place in it, and our mixed emotions about it? This exhibit intends to explore how the contemporary changing landscape is experienced and envisioned by contemporary artists of all mediums, including landscape architects. 3D and installation work is encouraged.
