MOSTLY BLACK & WHITE - Competition & Exhibition, October 2 through November 2, 2009. Open theme. Work in any media (except film, video or installation) that is at least 50% black and/or white is eligible. Open to all artists who can arrange to deliver work in person Friday September 25 from 9-5 PM or Saturday September 26 from 10-4 PM. Awards: 1st, $125; 2nd, $75; 3rd, $25; + honorable mentions. All work must be original and for sale with no size limitation and no limitation on when the work was done or if it was done as a student. Unframed work is eligible if submitted with necessary hardware for hanging or displaying. 40 % commission on sales. Entry fee. If you like the possibility of seeing your work on our exhibition postcard promoting our show, please email a high resolution jpg at 300 dpi and roughly about 6' x 9'. Please label your jpg and put as Subject Line of your Message: LAST NAME, FIRST NAME, TITLE of WORK, OCT. POSTCARD. Deadline for postcard submissions is September 7. If your work is selected for the postcard, it is automatically accepted into the exhibition. Opening Reception: First Friday ArtWalk October 2 from 6-9 PM.
