For this juried exhibition at, we define "alternative process" broadly to include images made using alternative, historical, and unconventional processes. For example, submissions may use historic print processes, such as bromoil, cyanotype, albumen, salted paper, photogravure, gum bichromate, platinum and palladium, and other historic processes. Also acceptable are hand-applied emulsions and polaroid or solvent transfers. In addition, we welcome images made using pinhole and plastic cameras and through-the-viewfinder techniques. Gelatin silver and digital prints combined with an alternative process or that depart from traditional practice are admissible. For example, digital prints of scanned wet-plate tintypes or ambrotypes are acceptable. Entry fee.
