This is a juried exhibition featuring artists from the 5 southern states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. Open to all visual artists over 18 years of age who are not presently in a degree-seeking program. Entries can include all types of media; photography, video/DVD and multimedia installations. Works that are original, completed within the past two years and not previously exhibited at the AcA will qualify for submission. A jurior's pick award of $1,000 and two $600 will be announced at the opening reception on May 8, 2010, 6-8pm. Juror's pick award will also receive a solo exhibition as part of the AcA’s Side Gallery Series during May 2011. Purchase awards ranging from $500 to $2500. Entry fee.
