Call for Entries for "Myths & Marks: Archetypes Throughout the Ages". Original works in printmaking, papermaking or book arts on the theme of juror Sally Spofford's statement: A long immersion in the art of the Maya turned out to be my gateway into the iconography of other and older civilizations. Who are we and how did we get here? We tell similar stories and use similar images in our art. Shapes, rhythms, and patterns appear again and again and these are the stock of symbols we've preserved within ourselves throughout time. Submit up to 3 digital images by email or CD, or slides. Exhibition dates: July 31 - Oct 9, 2010. No entry fee.
