The drive to consume is not only relegated to our physical appetites, gorged and stomach stretched. This force to consume is exemplified in the physical and iconic symbol that a fine steak represents. Meat has become the ideal and any means by obtaining the meat acceptable. The mind-set towards meat is now synonymous with finance, homes, cars, computers and other status symbol. What happens when there is no meat and the drive is still there? This exhibition is open to all artists in the United States, 18 years of age or older. Entries must be original work completed within the last 3 years. Entry fee.
