SEEKING IRAQ HISTORY PROJECT ART - September 1, 2010
Chicago area artists, working in all media, are being sought to create art based on the history project. The IHP is a series of personal narratives from victims, witnesses and perpetrators regarding human rights violations committed during Saddam Hussein's regime, as well as under the American occupation. Participating artists will choose a specific story to illustrate, using a medium of choice. The program will culminate in a series of lectures, workshops and panel discussions during the week of September 27-October 3. Interested artists should submit a one-page explanation of interest and personal activist art history, plus a resume and samples of artwork.
