SKODA PRIZE FOR INDIAN CONTEMPORARY ART - September 30, 2010
The prize carries an award of Rs 10,00,000 [Rupees one million]. It seeks to recognize and reward the finest Indian contemporary artist. As an artist, you are free to nominate yourself for The SKODA Prize. To qualify for the prize this year, artists will need to have had a solo show between 1st May 2009 and 30th April 2010 in India. All Indian citizens under the age of 45, as of 1st May 2010 are eligible for consideration. Any medium is acceptable, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, video, photography, installation and performance. Artists can be nominated by their galleries or apply themselves. Any application on behalf of an artist will need to be accompanied by a note of consent signed by the artist. No entry fee.
