The New Works One-Act Play Festival is a week-long juried competition of new original short plays, with a 1st place prize of $1000 for the winning production. We are accepting Project Submissions from writers, directors, and writer/director teams. Through the New Works One-Act Play Festival, we seek to discover new and exciting ideas from emerging theatre artists. Participants enter the four week program by submitting a short (no more than 30 minute) original play. Upon acceptance, the participants will be guided through the process of auditioning, design, and rehearsals. The program will culminate in a week long juried Festival of repertory performances in Los Angeles, California. Entry fee.
