reCYCLE is a public art exhibit designed to highlight the art, bicycling and recycling cultures of Old Takoma. The OTBA is seeking local artists/creators/welders or teams (Artist) to design and build outdoor sculptures (Sculptures) using mostly bicycles and spare bicycle parts to be installed along the sidewalks to create a self-guided, walking tour with the goal of attracting and engaging visitors and showcasing Old Takoma. The Sculptures will remain in place for 4-6 months and then be auctioned off to the public.
