The City of Austin's Art in Public Places (AIPP) Program seeks to commission a professional visual artist to create a signature piece of artwork for the new Central Library Art in Public Places project. AIPP requests qualifications from professional visual artists who live and work in the United States. Up to three finalists will be selected and paid to visit Austin and create proposals. From the group of three finalists, one artist/artist team and one alternate will be recommended for the project. The budget for this project is $385,000.
