We live in an age of compartmentalization, labels we attach to ourselves and others, to define who we are as people. We label our art as well. Abstract? Representational? Photo-realism? But what better way to convey an idea, than to juxtapose it with its polar opposite? Let two compliments do just that - compliment and create each other. One side cannot exist without the other. Volume can be disrupted by line. Light is only bright when there is shadow.
