Seeking art associated with the emotional state of melancholy or the Hippocratic melancholic temperament. Work that is gloomy, pensive, sorrowful, or pre-occupied with the tragedy and cruelty of the world. "Melancholy… Forever" is our 3rd annual melancholy exhibition and will be publicly juried: all work is presented online, site visitors select their favorites. All participants receive exposure. The final exhibition will include 30 artists, and invitations will be sent to our extensive mailing list of galleries, collectors, etc. Opens: Dec. 18, 2011. Entry fee.
