Session artists receive 2-3 months in one of our spaces in Brooklyn and Manhattan, a small honorarium, and a materials budget to cover the material costs of their project. Recess is free and open to the public, and we encourage artists to engage with their audience in a manner specific to their creative goals, using Recess as a studio, exhibition space, stage, and/or experimental platform. No application fee.
